Little Explorers Nursery

It was a truly special day when our Nursery for three and four year olds opened its doors for the very first time on 5th January 2022. Since opening, it has gone from strength to strength and now provides daily care, nurture  and stimulation for growing numbers of youngsters.

The Nursery provision includes a newly-refurbished classroom and a redeveloped outdoor space, meaning the children have optimum opportunities for learning both indoors and outdoors.

The children follow the Early Years curriculum, taught by Mrs Kamel, a highly-experienced and dedicated Early Years practitioner. She is ably assisted by Mrs Mellor, a fully-qualified teacher and Mrs Gielty, a teaching assistant with many years' valuable experience.

Jellybeans

Jellybeans is an activity session for 0-4 year olds (accompanied by an adult) which runs from 10am to 11am every Thursday morning in our school hall. The activities are planned and led by Miss Ryan, our Reception Class teacher and Mrs Kamel, our Nursery leader.

The sessions are open to everyone (whether you have children at St. Mary's or not) and cost just £2 per family per session, simply to cover our costs.

Hartbeeps

As a result of the success of our Jellybeans sessions for 0-4 year olds, we would like to offer something specifically for babies. We are, therefore, partnering with Rebecca Brook of Hartbeeps to offer both Baby Bells and Baby Beeps on a Tuesday morning in the school hall. 

These will run for a 5-week trial period, after the Easter holidays and - if popular - will continue  indefinitely.

Don't worry, though, Jellybeans will continue to  run as normal on a Thursday between 10 and 11am.
